Finished the quilt for my DH Grandmother

So my Husbands Grandmother lives in Florida and my Father-in-law takes a drive down every year around her birthday and stays for a few weeks. Well she will be 91 this year and I thought...what could I make for her for her birthday...why not a quilt! She is so sweet, ever time she called my Mother-in-law she always ask how I am doing. The handful of times I spent time with her, when she could still travel, we just clicked. She so reminded me of my own grandmother. Little Italian grandma...not even 5 feet tall. Oh man she makes the best lasagna! So I went through all the patterns I have on my computer and came up with one to make for her. It's called Scruffly Quilt by Rachel Griffith from Moda Back Shop. Let me know what you think?

OK next time I make a quilt I am going to remember to take pictures as I go. I always forget until I am done...lol

Hi everyone...It's been so long since I have posted on my blog! Well alot has happend since I was last on. I have 2 major back surgeries and I am still recovering from the last one. 4 1/2 hours on the table and 1 week in the hospital and 4 screws in my back...But on a good note, I started quilting and OMG I am in love!!! I had to find somehting I could do that wasn't so hard on my back and my darling husband bought me a sewing machine so I thought well what the heck, I had him go to the library and get some books on quilting and off I went! I have made a throw, a queen size quilt for my bed and I just finished a twin size for my son. I love it!!! I will post pictures soon!!!
